local marketing

Brands and services with a  physical location should optimise all elements of local marketing and not just digital marketing.

Why local marketing is important.

If you’re a business with an actual physical location, your target audience might be limited to a certain geographical area. People might come from further afield if you have an unbeatable location, a strong brand, limited competitors or are very famous! Otherwise it’s likely that – aside from tourists – they’ll mostly be coming from a specific catchment area, that you need to heavily focus on.

In addition to this, if you have an actual venue that people come to, you’ll need to make sure it works in terms of brand building and sales. Cue decoration, signage, marketing materials and an overall customer experience that are all captivating and on-brand.

Examples of local marketing.

This list is by no means exhaustive, but local marketing campaigns can include:

  • Marketing materials
    (e.g. business cards, leaflets, signage)
  • Local advertising & PR
  • Brand collaborations with local brands and digital influencers
  • Targeted, local SEO Marketing (search engine optimisation)
  • Digital advertising

Marketing Materials…or marketing collaterals as they’re also known.

Whether it’s a simple business card, a swing tag for fashion marketing or a poster for an ice-cream shop, each item must create the right impression. Whether you need printable marketing materials or digital ones, everything that you produce is a reflection of your brand and what you’re selling. In order to develop the “know”, “like” and “trust” factors with customers, consistency is important. This is why you need the valuable input of a marketing specialist at the planning and design stage, instead of quick fix outputs.

As with all marketing, it is the quality of your combined strategy, design and communication that will make or break an activity. I have often seen business owners dismiss a specific activity because of poor past results, when the fault could have been with their strategy, design or execution. All elements have to work together for best results.

I can help you create great-looking professional marketing materials from scratch, that will help you win over potential clients. Or I can give you marketing tips on how to optimise what you’re currently doing. Fill in the form below and let’s start talking!
